FIGHTING SPAM
Spam, oh what a pain. Spam costs businesses and consumers growing amounts of dollars and time. There is so much of it out there and if you use email for a living it is likely you are sick of spam. So how can you avoid getting stuck with a mailbox full of the junk email. Well, here are a few ideas for reducing your spam.
- Avoid opening emails unknown addresses, just delete them.
- Do not to use your primary email address when you sign up for some Web site. Have another valid free email address from like hotmail or yahoo to use when signing up for list or buy things online. Let that email address get the spam and not your main email. You can always deleted it and get another one if it becomes a pain.
- Unsubscribe from a spammer's list is no, no. It will let them know your email is valid and you probably will get more spam.
- Never buy anything from a spammer; they are in it for the money.
- Use a Good Anti-Spam Program. There are a lot of them out there. So do a little reach and you can find a good and affordable spam-filtering program.
