    YESTERDAY IS DEAD AND OVER

Overall, I am not a huge fan of Christmas, let alone Christmas Trees. I am more of a Groundhog Day, Easter. and Opening Day For Baseball Season kind of holiday guy. However, this year when I took the tree out of the house, I wondered why they don’t write a song about this part of Christmas.

It is the part where no one wants to tree anymore. The needles are falling off the branches and it needs to leave the house. No one wants take it out of the house and tie it back on the top of the car. When you finally the tree out of the house and on the car to drive and get to the city park to leave the tree, you see other people (it is always one person per tree not families like when you buying it) getting the tree from the top of their vehicle. Everyone is standing in mud in the cold and bitter wind and wondering why they don’t own a fake tree.

So the once proud and loved tree is thrown in a pile of other discarded trees.

For some reason, this year as I throw our tree in the pile it made me sad. I am happy to know the tree will be recycled and used for many other things, but it seem liked the tree’s time ended too fast.

Life like the Christmas Tree Time seems too short. However, with life, it is sad to see so many people’s time end so fast.

Probably not the greatest Christmas Song idea, but frankly Christmas is about the coming of redemption so we don’t have to be left wondering if our life was wasted and if we can be in Heaven when we are done. I guess maybe, I just been thinking more about it because so many friends are struggling with health and death and because we are using the book, Heaven in our small group

Here are some of photos of our Christmas 2009 Tree.
