I’M SMELLIN’ COFFEE, BIRDS ARE SINGIN’
As you may or may not know, I don’t like coffee or for that matter any hot drinks. You are probably now thinking, I don’t care about his drinking habits and why is he writing about them? That my friend is a good question.
I am not really blogging about coffee so much as I going to give a little kudos to Seattle Coffee Company. No, I am not talking about the one I call the Evil Empire. I mean, Storyville Coffee Company. I just learned they are giving 100% of their May revenue to International Justice (a human rights agency that works to rescue victims of slavery, trafficking and other forms of violent oppression).
They are not doing on of those 10% of profits to from one day kind of things (nothing wrong with those by the way)E. They are really stepping it up and making a big sacrifice. Wow. You can check it out more at this link.
Well, it is time for me to go order some coffee from Seattle Coffee. It is for a good cause and from a company that I have just come to respect.
THINK OF ALL YOUR LIBERTIES AND RECALL SOME GAVE ALL
Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone enjoys the holiday and takes time to honor those men and women who gave their lives in the service of our country.
I saw this site on the history of Memorial Day and thought I would link to it if you would like to take a few minutes to read up about Memorial Day. Click Here to see the site.
This morning when I was talking to my wife (a former U.S. Marine who served for ten years) we were talking about Memorial Day and how nice it was to see people put out their flags out for the holiday. Then she started talking about all the houses in neighborhood who leave the flag out during the night and do not illuminated it which breaks U.S. Flag Etiquette. So I thought it would be a good idea to link to a site on the Flag Etiquette. I know I could use the reminder on the proper way to display the flag. So check out this site and this site. Those sites exist to help us respect to the flag.
Reading the sites I learned that On Memorial Day the flag is displayed at half staff until noon and at full staff from noon to sunset. I did not even know that. So I hope the sites are useful so no matter what day we fly the flag we can show proper respect to our country and remember those who have died in our nation’s service.
JUST GIVE IT AWAY
I wish someone would please tell the Denver Nugget’s head coach to stop having Jay Culter throw the inbound pass at the end of the game. We don’t enjoy seeing the Nugget’s passes get picked off and cost them the game.
Thank you!
YOU’VE GOT YOUR OWN VERSION OF THE TRUTH
I got a question or maybe more of an observation that I just don’t understand.
Why is it that for some people when they don’t do what they say they were going to do it is a lie. However, for other people when they don’t do what they said they were going to do, they just changed their mind?
